Welcome to the Hamburger Kinoforum Kinohafen!
In 2026, the Kinoforum will take place under the motto “Voices Breaking the Silence”. The program focuses on stories of memory, identity, migration, and social responsibility.
This year, the festival places special emphasis on Israeli cinema, as well as films reflecting contemporary realities in the post-Soviet region and works by filmmakers from these countries who now live and work in exile.
Hamburger Kinoforum Kinohafen is far more than a film festival. It is a platform for encounter, dialogue, discussion, workshops, and new connections. The program includes a short film competition, screenings, discussions and meetings with renowned guests, directors, actors, producers, and industry professionals. The forum is further enriched by educational and cultural events that encourage reflection, exchange, and creative collaboration.
